A very rare mucinous ovarian tumour weighing 10 kgs with about 4 litres of mucin was removed from the abdomen of mrs Vasantha palani age 47 years,hailing from pillayarkuppam aathur village in ulundurpet town of villupuram district.
she was the wife of a poor agricultural labourer mr palni.she was suffering from mass in the abdomen for the past 1 year and was refused at many surgical centres for surgery due to the enormous size of the swelling upto the xiphisternum.she developed breathlessness due to the size of the swelling and was not able to walk and do her normal daily activities.
she was in a grin state of mind and decided she will succumb to her abdomen tumour, At last came to "MAHALAKSHMI HOSPITAL" with the great confidence and hope of getting cured, She was successfully operated and the tumour of about 10 kgs was removed on 30-10-2011.
Mrs Vasatha Palani is now absolutely alright and happily cherishing her life and travelling to New Delhi and other places with her relatives telling the success story of recovery everywhere.
